I saw a video of some students being interviewed on their matriculation day, and I couldn't help but shake my head in awe at the responses of these students to the interviewer.
Students are getting matriculated, and they don't know their discipline of learning. About seven to ten, and none could tell what he or she was given admission to study.
At first, I wondered if they were truly given admission or if they had made their way through it. Another conflict arises within me: probably they are underage.
As I thought about this, the realization hit me that they only wanted to go to school; they don't really have a discipline for learning. Hmm. I thought so much about this, and I realized that it is not just in the academics but also in our skills.
Do you know what you want to do, or do you just want to show up?
Showing up is not bad, but showing up without a vision of what you want to do will make you give wrong answers when you are being questioned.
Many students and many skilled individuals only want to show up and be recognized, but they do not know what their discipline is.
It is one thing to show up; it is another to know what you are showing up for. Don't just show up; be in-depth about what you are showing up for.
Remember the scripture saying, “Study to show yourself approved?"
This means that to show up, you must study well and have in-depth knowledge of what you want to show up for.
Good morning.
